Distributing ftpcopy

ftpcopy is released under the GNU General Public License, Version 2. Some files are published under a different license. See the file "LICENSE" in the source distribution for a list and the FAQ entry for more information.

Distributing binaries

Since version 0.4.0 ftpcopy conforms to slashpackage and slashcommand. This is an improvement - for me, at least.
On the other hand distributors of binaries have to change the way how they create their ftpcopy package. The easiest way is:

  $ gunzip /whereever/ftpcopy-VERSION.tar.gz | tar xzf -
  $ cd web/ftpcopy-VERSION
  $ package/compile
  $ package/check
  # now copy command/* and doc/* to where you want them and
  # create the package.
